Charles Fipke’s latest Grade I winner, Seeking the Soul, exited Saturday’s Clark Handicap Presented by Norton Healthcare (GI) win in great shape and may take aim on the $16 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (GI) on Jan. 27, according to trainer Dallas Stewart.
“It’s such an honor to win the Clark,” Stewart said. “I hope he’s the second horse in the barn that will be in the Pegasus. We’ll see. I just want to enjoy this win a little longer and I’ll get with Mr. Fipke to figure it out. He’s in great shape after the race.”
Fipke and Stewart’s Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff (Grade I) winner Forever Unbridled also is targeting the lucrative 1 1/8-mile race at Gulfstream Park.
