Let's Play Two: Churchill Downs Offers Free Admission To Fans Presenting College Baseball Super Regional Tickets Or Ticket Stubs

Churchill Downs will again invite college baseball fans to “play two” when the track provides free weekend admission to its live racing programs on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 to fans holding a ticket or ticket stub to the NCAA Baseball Super Regional to be played at the University of Louisville’s neighboring Jim Patterson Stadium.

Saturday’s program includes the opportunity to view Kentucky Derby winner American Pharoah’s historic bid for the Belmont Stakes and racing’s first Triple Crown since 1978 on the track’s Big Board.

The University of Louisville baseball team is playing Cal State-Fullerton in the NCAA Baseball Super Regional and fans who show either a game ticket or ticket stub at Churchill Downs admission gates on Saturday or Sunday will receive free admission to the track. Regular general admission to the track is $3.

The Cardinals are the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Baseball Tournament and the winner of the best-of-three Super Regional showdown with Cal State Fullerton will earn a spot in the College Baseball World Series in Omaha, Neb.

Churchill Downs also offered free admission to fans who attended last week’s baseball regional at Jim Patterson Stadium, which was won by the Cardinals.

Post time for racing at Churchill Downs on Saturday and Sunday is 12:45 p.m. (all times EDT).

Ten live races are scheduled each day, and Saturday’s simulcast of the Belmont Stakes and American Pharoah’s bid for history set for 6:50 p.m. The Triple Crown finale follows Saturday’s final live race at Churchill Downs.

The schedule at Jim Patterson Stadium has games set for:

• Saturday at 11 a.m.
• Sunday at noon
• Monday (if needed, time TBA).

Once inside the track on Saturday, fans have can enjoy the day in general admission areas or sample the day’s seating options

 that feature a special Belmont Stakes Day Box Seat package which includes;

• A box seat
• Custom, limited-edition Kentucky Derby 141 T-shirt that features the victorious American Pharoah
• Domestic beer or souvenir soda
• Official program
