Gift Idea for Your Valentine: Derby, Oaks Seats for Your Sweet in Churchill's Section 110

Feb 07, 2014 John Asher

Churchill Downs is offering a suggestion for Valentine’s Day shoppers as their search for the perfect gift in your life enters its final week: consider making the most romantic day of the year truly unforgettable with a gift of the sensational experiences of the 2014 Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks for that special person.

Seating for the 140th celebrations of the Longines Kentucky Oaks on Friday, May 2, and the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands on Saturday, May 3, is available for online purchase in the unique setting of Section 110, located on Churchill Downs’ historic first turn, or “Clubhouse Turn.”

Along with the spectacular and iconic first turn view of the historic Twin Spires, Section 110 provides stadium-style flip-up seating and each ticket includes complete food and beverage in its purchase price.

You will not miss a second of the Derby and Oaks, all of the other exciting races, and the color, fashion, fun and excitement of those incredible days thanks to the first-ever view of the spectacular 15,224 square foot “Big Board” – the largest outdoor LED board in the world that provides vivid high-definition images created by cutting-edge 4K technology.

Along with the “Big Board,” Section 110 – a venue that was introduced last year – has been enhanced to include additional restrooms and wagering lines, larger food and beverage service areas, and wider aisles.

The seating for Derby and Oaks 140 in Section 110 is available for purchase online in a two-day package at www.kentuckyderby.com. Seating under cover in Section 110 for both days is available for $799, while an uncovered seat for the two-celebration is available for $698.
